After seeing My Beloved Is Mine's love for unique food I thought of this old recipe we have..
Elephant Stew,
1 Elephant
Salt and pepper
2 rabbits(opt.)
Cut elephant into small bite-size pieces.(this should take about 2 months)add enough brown gravy to cover. Cook over kerosene fire for about 4 weeks at 465 f. This will serve 3,800 people. If more are expected, 2 rabbits may be added, but do this only if necessary, as most people don't like to find hare in there stew.

This will serve 3,800 people. I have found that this is geography-dependent. It will only serve about 2950 in Texas (unless, of course, you use a Texas elephant), but will serve as many as 5475 in pygmy country in Africa.
[There, Natalie. You can groan again.]
